BEAUTY BEGINS WHERE JUSTICE LIVES
No form of art, nor any dignity associated with social status, stands above justice.
And certainly, nothing justifies cruelty that thrives on the sorrow and blood of others.
Justice and Goodness cannot be cast out beyond the universe, nor destroyed from within it.
Even if we are dressed in elegance and speak with refinement, even if we are surprised by what feels unfamiliar, in this moment, standing before the Palestinian flag, we must be solemn—and profoundly humble.
